Peter Shutte

Vice President of Worldwide Sales

Prior to leading Sajan's sales strategy, Peter was a co-founder and management team member of three organizations which resulted in two IPO’s and one acquisition. At Workgroup Technology (WTC), which he co-founded in 1992, he was first responsible for helping to define the product by acquiring the original set of customers, then was the Director of North America Channel Sales, and finally the General Manager of European Operations located in Munich Germany. Workgroup Technology was a Product Data Management (PDM) and Product Lifecycle Management Company (PLM) that focused heavily on the management of Parametric Technologies (PTC) Pro/ENGINEER data.

In 1999, Peter joined WebEx as a founding staff member (originally known as Active Touch), where he helped build a SaaS-based sales organization. As the Director of Enterprise Sales, within a four year period his group had over half of the Fortune 500 as WebEx customers with an annual recurring stream of $25M. WebEx is an on-line web conferencing company that was acquired by Cisco Systems in 2007.

In 2004, he joined a company called Nsite who started out as a SaaS based Business Process Management System. Within a two year period they moved all of the existing customers to a multi-tenant architecture while rewriting the platform and acquiring new customers with an on-demand quoting solution. The new platform that was created was capable of building SaaS based application on the fly and the company was acquired by Business Objects in 2006.

Since 2006 he has been involved with a children’s music project and had been doing sales consulting for a company called Openwater Networks founded by two long time Oracle Executives.
