Making Localization Integration Easier

Case Study Overview

The Cisco Webex Web Team discovered that they had a very broken approach to sending content out for translation and introducing it back into their web content management environment.  They initiated a project to connect their web content management system (TYPO3) with their localization processes. The goal of the project was to:

  • Optimize CMS to TMS process (L10N module extension, workflow, notifications)
  • Optimize TMS process (have business standardize on one process and technology, API integration with GCMS and Linguistic Quality Assurance process)
  • Improve Content synchronization (CMS, TMS leveraging, closing the loop on publishing, etc…)

Applications: GCMS™, X-Content Integration™, TYPO3

Broadening Product Lifecycle Management:

Case Study Overview

Club Car faced a rising demand for multilingual product communications, a ballooning backlog of product changes undocumented in non-English materials, and significant delays in global publishing.  This case study describes how Club Car met these challenges by introducing the Global Content Lifecycle focused on product content.

“Automating the complete desktop publishing process was a major milestone for Club Car. Our implementation in 2007 produced better than expected results – faster time to global publishing, quicker localization turnaround, higher quality publications, and more translations for less money.” Jeff Kennedy, Manager of Engineering Information and Systems

Applications: GCMS™, Authoring Coach™, X-Content Integration™, PTC Arbortext Editor™
